Gang Offensive in Port-au-Prince Carrefour-Feuilles District

Criminal gangs launched a coordinated assault to take control of the Carrefour-Feuilles neighborhood in Port-au-Prince. IOM monitors reported that 7,500 people fled the district in a single day as gunmen torched homes and businesses to consolidate territory. Many of the displaced have sought refuge in public schools and makeshift sites in the city center. The violence has crippled local markets and restricted access to health clinics, with 10 deaths reported in the fighting.
