On March 26, 2026, Ukrainian authorities initiated an urgent mandatory evacuation for the city of Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast. Russian ground forces intensified their cross-border offensive, supported by heavy glide bomb strikes. Approximately 12,000 civilians were evacuated under fire as Russian troops advanced into the northern districts of the city.
