Ukrainian Drone Strike Triggers Fire at Russian Baltic Port of Ust-Luga
A Ukrainian drone strike on March 29, 2026, triggered a major fire at Russia's Baltic port of Ust-Luga, a critical export hub for fertilizers, oil, and coal. Leningrad region Governor Alexander Drozdenko confirmed damage to the port infrastructure but reported no casualties. This marks the second successful strike on the facility within days, part of a concerted Ukrainian campaign to disrupt Russian energy proceeds and logistics in the strategic Baltic Sea region during the ongoing invasion.
